For some reason maplestory doesn't work on my laptop anymore?

when i start up the game everys fine, but when the wizet screen comes up it just freezes and goes:

i've tried getting rid of the progamme and then installing it again. it still doesnt work. any help?

Hopefully by now you've been able to resume play. For a while I was getting a notice similar to this:

Since you tried uninstalling / reinstalling, part of the problem might be that the uninstall left behind fragments of files or folders which prevent a clean reinstall. If you're still experiencing problems, uninstall again. But before trying to reinstall, do an advanced search of hidden files and folders for any other remaining maplestory files.





Click start %26gt; search %26gt; all files and folders. You'll search for maplestory in My Computer. Under more advanced options make sure system folders, hidden files and folders, and subfolders are check marked. Run the search and if any other maplestory files/folders are found in the right panel, delete them. Then do the reinstall.





If still no joy, I'd contact maplestory for assistance:

GIMP Error!! Please help me!!?

Please help me!! I don't know what the error is!!





I've been using The Gimp for 2 months, and it worked fine. And then I start downloading brushes, and it worked fine too. And then one day, I downloaded more brushes, and there's this error message that I get:





The header reads:

Then the message:

So I uninstalled The Gimp and the GTK+ Runtime Environment, and then installed it back again. Then I went and downloaded brushes again, this time, I downloaded some different brushes and some of the previous ones that I downloaded. It worked fine for one day, and today, I received an error message, something that sound like this:

Reply:im using gimp to try to find out what brush you downloaded is making the problem or maybe one of the brushs don't work with your version try gimp 2.4 rc1 it is grat and has new features and tools

I can't download Nexon Audition's new patch?

When i try to download the new patch in the middle of it there would be a pop up saying

I tried to redownload the patch many times, yet i still get that pop up. Someone help. Audition should have manual patches like MapleStory does.

The problem seems to have something to do with internet explorer. Try re-installing IE. Or try going to mozilla.org and download Firefox.





If the problem persists, then there is something else going on. "runtime" error usually has to do with a program breaking down while its going on, if its not IE then there is another program made using a visual C++ library that isn't working right.





Since you're asking, I doubt you do much c++ programming, so it could be a virus, or some other program that you have on all the time that's messing up. If Firefox or IE don't work try turning off each internet program: AIM, Yahoo Messanger, MSN Messanger, Veoh Beta, Limewire etc, and see if it'll work.
Reply:Run a windows update or reinstall the latest version of IE.

I have windows xp media center edition, and getting Microsoft visual C++ on desktop toolbar?

I get this error right after I start my computer, before I connect to the internet. And the screen switches from my desktop to the blue screen from the media center and it says media detection in progress please wait...but never does anything after that. I am just learning computers so I don't know how to fix my runtime library program, any help would be great. If I go to the download at microsoft, I don't know what it is that I need to fix it?

I was getting this too on my relatively new HP computer XP media edition. It popped up on my system when inserting a new disc and the computer sat there trying to figure out what kind of disc it was and what to do with it.. I think. It got stuck. I had to ctl-alt-del and find the "disc gui" program running in the list of processes and kill that process to get any kind of control of the computer back.





TO FIX IT:





I did a file search for "discgui.exe" and found it a couple times in the c:/program files/disc/.. subdirectories. I changed the name of each occurrence of the file to "discgui.exe.old"





Problem hasn't come back since.
